Dana Fox is a television and film writer, producer, showrunner, and director. She is currently the co-creator, showrunner and executive producer of the new Apple series “Home Before Dark,” based on the real-life reporting of a 9 year-old investigative journalist who uncovers a mystery from her own father’s past. The series debuts April 3, 2020, and has already been renewed for a second season.
Best known for her feature films “What Happens in Vegas,” “Couples Retreat,” and “How to Be Single,” Fox also served as the creator and showrunner of the Fox comedy series “Ben and Kate.” She most recently wrote Disney’s “Cruella” with Emma Stone and Emma Thompson, and made her directing debut on an episode of the Fox series "New Girl."
Fox graduated from Stanford University with a degree in English and Art History, and went on to get her MFA in film and television producing from USC Film School’s Peter Stark Producing Program.
She has three children under the age of seven, which in no way whatsoever affects the amount of time she has to work.
